THE BREAK NYC is a coalition of social and political activists, alternative party officials, and everyday New Yorkers who are committed to creating space and opportunity for sustained independent political activity in New York City.

THE BREAK NYC was conceived by socialist activists and members of the Green Party as a response to the disastrous mayoralty of Eric Adams. It has grown to be at the forefront of calls for an immediate shift in how politics gets done in New York City.

We begin with a simple goal: find and support an independent socialist candidate who will run for mayor all the way through the general election, and have their name on the ballot in November.
